EOPS Graduates- Spring 2016

EOPS is a state-funded program designed to provide counseling, retention, and support services to students. The following services are available to current EOPS students:

Student Success Coaches

The EOPS/CARE & CalWORKs Computer Lab/ Tutorial Center will be CLOSED until further notice. Our Student Success Coaches are ready to support you with the following:

  • Scheduling Academic Coaching Appointments
  • Canvas Navigation                        
    • Step-by-Step Canvas Instruction
    • Submitting Forms and Class Assignments
    • Checking Grades
    • Contacting Instructors
    • Explaining Canvas Terminology
  • EOPS Application Assistance
  • Accessing Unofficial Transcripts
  • Class Registration
  • Student Portal Navigation (Any Campus)
    • Checking for Communication   
    • Accepting Admissions
    • Accepting Financial Aid Award

Tip: Please be sure to use Google Chrome browser to access virtual services. A laptop or desktop is strongly encouraged in order to access virtual services.

Academic Coaching

Our Acadmeic Coaches can help you identity your learning style and develop study skills in the areas of writing, math, and much more. Chat with our Student Success Coaches to schedule an online appointment with an Academic Coach.

Book Voucher

EOPS Grants

  • Book vouchers are available for new EOPS students who are eligible.

  • May be used to purchase required textbooks from the El Camino College Bookstore.                                                                               

  • EOPS Grants are awarded to continuing EOPS students in good standing meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards.

  • Students must have a financial need before the grant is awarded.


Additional Services

Priority Registration Every EOPS student in good standing is able to register in the first tier of registration. Please see an EOPS Counselor to update your comprehensive educational plan. 
Resume/Cover Letter Building Do you want to have a resume and/or cover letter that stands out? Are you interested in applying for part-time, full-time, or even internship opportunities? These opportunities can arise at any moment. It's important to update these documents every semester as your educational, professional, and even personal experiences develop each term. Submit your resume/cover letter below to get access to professional feedback, suggestions, and even tips on how to make these documents stronger.

Probation Services EOPS students who fall under academic probation should meet with an EOPS counselor or advisor to receive information on academic support services to help them regain good academic standing.
FAFSA/CA Dream Act Assistance The EOPS computer lab offers assistance to complete the FAFSA or CA Dream Act application each year. EOPS also collaborates with the El Camino College Financial Aid Office to offer financial aid application assistance workshops.
