Los Angeles OperaThe Marriage of Figueroa January 29, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Marsee Auditorium Educational Outreach Programming Based on Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, our story is set at the beautiful (and fictional) Mission Aguas Frescas where a wedding celebration for the powerful (and real) governor of Upper California, General José Figueroa, is underway. Figueroa receives a surprise wedding gift: a performance of his favorite opera, The Marriage of Figaro. His guests ask him to perform the role of Figaro to teach him a lesson about the error of his greedy ways. This is a Los Angeles Opera educational outreach event and is designed for elementary age students. The program is FREE but advanced reservations are required. For more information or to make a reservation, please contact the El Camino College Ticket Office at: (310) 329-5345 or email ArtsTickets@elcamino.edu. |
