Registration Appointments

Each student must have a registration appointment before they can enroll in classes each term.  Appointments indicate the day and time students may begin their registration for the term.  You can check your appointment day and time on MyECC

Fall 2021 Dates: View your appointment information beginning May 10,2021. Fall Registration Begins May 24, 2021.

Students should register on the date and time of their appointment to ensure a schedule that will best fit your needs. Try using the tool Schedule Builder to build a schedule that meets your needs.  Follow the instructions for Schedule Builder 

Enrollment Priorities

In compliance with Section 58108 of Title 5, California Administrative Code, enrollment priorities will be implemented as described in the El Camino College Board Policy and Procedure 5055 (Enrollment Priorities).  You may access the Administrative Procedure and Board Policy at the links below.

Continuous Enrollment for Priority Registration

Continuous enrollment at El Camino College constitutes enrollment in the most recent previous semester per academic year, excluding summer or winter intersessions.  A student must remain enrolled in at least one course for sufficient time to receive a mark of ‘W’ or a letter grade.

Enrollment Limitations

Enrollment in courses and programs may be limited to students meeting established prerequisites, corequisites, intercollegiate competition, and public performances. 

 Enrollment may also be limited due to the following:

  • Number of students that may enroll in a class subject to ‘first come, first serve’ or due to health and safety considerations
  • Facility limitations
  • Faculty workload
  • Availability of qualified instructors
  • Funding limitations
  • Constraint of regional planning
  • Legal requirements imposed by statues, regulations, or contracts
  • Course Repetition (if it is the third time for an enrollment in the class you must be preapproved before you will be permitted to enroll). (Course Repetition PDF)

Schedule of Classes

Before the registration period for each term, the college publishes and post online a Schedule of Classes (a listing of the classes offered that term and general registration information including payment deadline).  

Schedule of Classes can be purchased in the bookstore for $1.00 or viewed online.  You can also use Schedule Builder
